If you wish to chage it you need to go to form&content type->Site Form tab. Submit button is nomally buitton submit type->Save&Close

Otherwise it won't work if you have any javascript errors on the page, you first need to check for those.

You probably have some javascript errors on your page - maybe you're loading jquery twice on the same page for example. Have a look for those first and make sure there's no issues there and your form will work.

Try to change Type to Input from button options.

Yes, I tried changing type to input but still button have no "action" when you press it nothing happen.

Also when you try to edit article from the front-end exactly the same thing happen. ( when article edit is joomla native front-end it works )

try changing site template temporary to one of default joomla templates and/or disabling any 3rd party plugins that might be changing JavaScript on the site on by one to find out which one causes this error.

It was a double jquery file call
