Thank you for your post.

if you can wait, we will propose in the RC3 a typo plugin which allows a lightbox effect on an image or an image gallery. This plugin has two parameters:

• the image to display in the web page (thumb1, thumb2, ..., thumb5, value).
• the image to display in the lightbox (none, thumb1, thumb2, ..., thumb5, value).

Just add tags in the template. works also with CCK Forms on my site.

I've managed to come a long way with the invaluable help of this forum and Simon Dowdles.

I've created a lightbox in my content, but the text for the current image and the caption are getting garbled, running one on top of the other because of CSS properties.

What would be the best technique to customize the colorbox (either CSS or the HTML generated) included with the Field X / Image field?

I don't wish to override the original file, but just creating an override in my template doesn't seem to solve that either.

Is there a way for the bottom height of the slide's content to adjust automatically when there's more stuff?
Or put the caption at the top?

Hello, ramonsodoma. To change the CSS without overwriting the default styles, you can create your own style. In the folder "media\cck\scripts\jquery-colorbox\styles\" You can clone any style folder and rename it to your own style name. After that, simply choose it in settings of Seblod for the lightbox.

If you need more control over the lightbox, you need to create custom template, where you can use all the features of colorbox that uses by Seblod to create lightbox.
All documentation on colorbox you can find on official site: jacklmoore.com/colorbox.

For example:
in custom template you can add code:

In this case the lightbox width will be 100%.
You can write a lot of attributes in the "colorbox({Attribute:Value})" line from the documentation of colorbox.

A custom template seems too much work and maintenance... but will give it a try if I have the time.
