I really like cck so far - it seems a bit challenging but I love the idea of what it can do. I downloaded the component and started to create an article. The article and its fields are created ok but I can't seem to figure out some things.

1. I need to show the title of some of my fields. I may be totally misunderstanding the concept but when I click on the field, there is an option on the right that says "Display label", I choose "Always" but it doesn't show on the front end.

2. Also, I would like ONLY some of the fields to show on the front end. For example I have title, alias, description, image, ect... I don't want the alias field to show on the front end but I'm not sure how NOT to display it.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

If you like to show some fields in the site(front end), it's simple.

Go to the backend(admin):

jseblodcck-->content type-->the content you want edit-->fields-->content.

You can select fields you want to display in your Content.

Best regards.

I did what you instructed me to do but the label is still not showing. I suspect I missed a step or do I need to add it in my template?

I've attached a picture so you can see what I've done.

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

For question 1 (show the title of some fields), it almost in the same interface.

You must change the default template for your content type. (change default content to advanced content).

jseblodcck-->content type-->the content you want edit-->Default Templates-->Content Template.(change here).

The default content is only to display the values.

Best regards
