Hi,

I'm trying to get email send to admin and user on new article submission -but with no luck.

I have made a new field (copy of Email registration Admin) and placed the field in the content type.

The email field is set as follow:
Send email = Submission & Edition
From = Standard
Fields = All Fields
- and a short message.

No mails are send at all. Only mails on registration/edit registration are send.

What am i doing wrong?

Best regards
Boris

Hi Extension,

Do you put some email or select an administrator?

Do you put this field on admin or site (it depends of what you want)?

Hi,

And thanks for your fast reply.
I have placed the email field on both admin and site.

The admin mail address should be generated by the field itself.

Best regards
Boris

Hi again,

The user email should be taken (some how) from the users registration file.

But if that's impossible only the admin receive a mail

Best regards
Boris

Hi All,

In the form action field you can specify a field name for the TO address of the email. If you admin email field (for example_ was called admin_field, could you not simply place this filed name into the TO field in the action?

Just a thought. If that does not work, then one could always attempt to use the free code (php) field and capture the submitted value and compose your own email, but I would advise against that because you would not know if the article was ever successfully submitted or not.

Simon

@arsalan & others,

In the email field you have the option To (Field) which lets you specify the field_name of the email address you want to use. So, if your form had a field called my_email and you put "my_email" in the To (Field) box, the email will get sent to that person as well.

Simon
