I try to use this field and all right, user name is present within field in the form but it is not enought because I want process this user name by SD field concat and instead I find his code user. How I do to use user name directly to concat it with others fields?

Dear Randy, in my previous post I have explained to you  two equal situations:

1) I use, as for your suggestions "article created by". User is visible in form.

When I go to concat this field with others fields I note that system does not use "user" as for login but his code.

Example: I have to concat field1+field2+field3+article create by. I found: field1field2field3"user code". This last field is the ID that you find  in users manager.  

2) The same thing about select dinamic cascade. 

System use the code or key that is in file (table used to select the field) and to bring it in SD field concat. 

Instead, in both cases, I need to use the value that I read in the form. If you need further informations I am ready.

in the settings of SD Concat field, you can choose "text or value".

Did you try to choose "text" there?

Hi Louis,

Another method, create a text field with a condition (option 5).

Condition: is Filled By |art_created_by| #forrm#

Trigger: FieldName|isEmpty

So the value of the Created By is copied to the text field. Then, you should be able to process it.

If you have the Code Pack, you could also use that.

Make sure that your Article Created By field is in the Hidden section of the Form Construction like so:

and your text field has this condition:

I also received the user id, but it was because of the way the field was hidden.  By placing the Article Created By field in the hidden section vs hidden value it works.  Have you verified that?

Hi Klas, I did exactly the same thing. I put field "user_username" in hidden position. Then I create a new field with conditional state perfectly equal as per Randy instruction. Please, could you try from yourself and inform me about result. Best regards, Louis

WHY ? I have used same method to copy fields.
