Hello,

I created an image upload field. The quality of the thumbnails, which are created during upload is really bad. Is there a setting where I can chose image quality / compression?

My field settings are:
Thumbnail creation: on Upload
Image: Max Fit
Thumbnail 1: Crop Center

Regards

Sven

Hi,

It is hidden really well. I still can't find it. Can you please give me a little more detailed info about where I can find this plugin settings?

Thank you.

Hello melihtas,

those options are now in SEBLOD options, tab "Media".

Hi Lionel,

Thank you. However, even if I set jpeg quality to 100, small images have some defects, especially plain white areas in images have some blue-gray lines.

Any solution for this problem?

Thanks.

Hi Seblod,

I am still very unhappy with the image qualtiy - even if all the parameters are set - like described in this thread. - Is there any other way to improve the quality. Urgently looking for max. quality (retina display). Thanks for any hint.

probably your thumbnail is just too small, if you display image larger that it's real dimensions are it will be always blurry.

I can confirm this, please report it on the github issues tracker. But I would strongly recommend you update your Joomla to 3.x.
