Hi to all,

I'm looking to have just one full content image (640 x 360 px = about 40/50 KB ) for each article.

I want use the same resized image (320 x 180) for intro content to display in my Lists & Serach.

Now, the question is: What is the best solution ? :

  1. simply display in my Lists & Serach the full content image resized (in this way I think the KB for each "intro" image will be always 40/50 KB)
  2. automatically save an intro content image resized when I create the article adding my full content image (in this way I saved double images, but the KB for each intro image in List & Search will be around 15/20 KB)

If the best solution is the second one, please, Can you give me some instructions on how to do it ?

Hi joomleb,

How are you uploading the image?  If you use SEBLOD image upload you can define the thumbs.  Have you looked into that?

Hi Joomleb,

Yes, you need to use thumb feature of the image field. Then by using the typo plugin "Image" you will be able to select which thumb you want to display.

It will answer your need.

For information, we will publish a crop image plugin, which allow to generate thumbs or to let the user crop itself online his picture.
