Hi Sebloders,

Have this issue with creating a link to a parent article. Some background: I have a content type "Trail" and then another one "Ride Report", with one-to-many relationship for trail-to-ride-report. (in other words, Trail is a parent to Ride Report)

In the Intro view of the Ride Report content type (using Joomla's category blog page or Seblod List view), this works just fine (see the link next to the map marker icon on this page): http://192.163.202.209/ride-reports

But in the full Content view, it doesn't, even though the "Link" settings for that field are exactly the same, see this page: http://192.163.202.209/ride-reports/rr-129 (instead of to the trail page the link leads back to the ride report page)

The link settings I'm using are:

  • SEF URL's: Inherited
  • Content: Field
  • Menu Item: Trail Finder
  • Field Name: rr_select_trail
  • Object: Article
  • (all else is default)

Seblod version: 3.3.5; Joomla version: 3.3.0

Thanks a lot for any pointers, P

I'd be grateful for any ideas for experimenting with this. I triple-checked that the settings for the link to the parent article are exactly the same for this same field in Intro and Content views and yet it doesn't work correctly in the Content view. Thanks much

Seblod team, would you please hint if this may be a bug or whether this is by design so that I know if I should keep looking for a work-around or wait for a fix in the core. Thank you so much, P

OK, so for those out there in the dark like myself who may be wondering about a possible solution... the link to the parent article now works after I set the 'SEF URLs' parameter to "/alias (Safe)" or "/alias"

I had it at "Inherited" previously, which mysteriously works in the Intro view but not in the content view.
