The Regex validation plugin wasn't working for me on v3. I then discovered that double quotes need to be used to terminate the regex field. I assume that this should be built in and quotes should not be needed with the regex string.

I experienced this too, some issue with code in plugin php files. Would be nice if somebody can refer where it is or show an working example. Therefore, I don't use this useful plugin :)
