Hello! And thanks in advance for reading my post.

So I have used the SD Concat Field plugin successfully on another form, but I have encountered an issue on my new form content type.

The plugin is not replacing the actual Joomla Article title field, instead it created a new column in the dB table: supplies_order_form, named "title".

At the bottom on my new form's field creation diaglog window, it reads "This field is Linked to the following Content Type: supplies_order_form", where as my other working form as no such message.

I have cross compared my working and non-working form for any differences, and that's the only item I can find. Both seemed to be created in the same way. I did not change the Lock Box setting during field creation.

Can someone tell me why this message is there, and how to fix it?  Hmm.....

Hi cubist,

What are you using for your Title Field?

So an example, if you want SuppliesTitle to be your title field of SDConcat type, make sure that the storage of your SuppliesTitle Field is title.  Then for the SD concat set up all of the other fields you want the name to be.

I have also noticed that sometimes you need to delete the title field and create a new one - or re select the storage to title and save it again.

hope that helps,

Randy

I am storing it in the Joomla title field, fer shur!  I have resaved many times. No avail ...

You mean delete the title field appended to my newly created table for the form (supplies_order_form), of course?

In the Content Type, I would remove the current field that you are using for a title, and recreate it.

I have also seen this.

Tried that multiple times ... and it still recreates the field, so I went into the dB.

I named my field "OSO_title_concat", so I search for "concat" in the ##_cck_core_fields table.

I chose the record for my seblod SD Concat type field.

Then, I edited the field: storage_table, replacing with "#__content".
The storage_field should read "title".

And that worked great.

Hi cubist,

Good idea - Thanks for the post!  Do you remember what was in the database prior to what you changed?

Is this on a local server or is it hosted?  I wonder if there is an issue updating this table.

thanks,

Randy

It's the name of the table as started by Seblod when you named your Content type.
