search generic plugin pagination result

Hello

i have edited in seach generic plugin under List and search type manager . i have crate simply one text field and below that a search button also for pagination i have move to configuration of List and search type manager and i found the pagination option but when i set a limit and click on pagination resut to al so pagination hide automatically...Help is appriciated
