Hello
I'm searching for a field which selects a file from a folder on server
I'm sure this field was available (at least in old jSeblod) but I just can't find it on Seblod products. So far I found a field which selects a folder on server but there's no fileld for selection a file. Or I'm completely blind.
Please if you know about such a cck field - please help.

Well yes, JForm Media field offers selection of a file. But it has limits.
You can select just images and only from the Images folder. You also can't exclude the subfolders.
Besides, JForm Media field doesn't work in field X :(
Simple "select file" filed used to be in old jSeblod and I just can not find it in SEBLOD product anymore. It's wierd as there is a "select folder" filed which I think is less usefull.
If anybody knows how to solve this, please help!

I have the same problem/question... but JForm media does not help as I need to select an .html file located on the server.
I would be very grateful if somebody could help with this...

Any progress with this topic? Just looking for the same thing, ie. a field to allow form-filler to select an existing file on the server. JMedia only allows images for some reason, even where native Joomla can be told to allow other formats (eg. MP3).
If anyone knows how to stop JMedia from applying its own filetype restrictions, that would be a solution...??

If you read the docs http://docs.joomla.org/Media_form_field_type you see that you JForm media has limitations, so we need to recreate a new mediamanager

The plugin is done at 1 month a go, the problem like other plugins is that Seblod team don´t have published yet.
