I couln't find the following topic in the forum, but if it exists please me out. Here's my question:
"Is there any procedure (helper, functions, etc...) to get an article (a seblod cck item) fields information like we would get it in a seblod template."
Here's my situation. I'm building a catalog of Products and I wish to link these to other(s) Products/Industries/News (3 separate content types). In the Product I use a XField collection field to have multiple Related Article joomla fields. The Products/Industries/News also have a Image Upload field for a thumbnail. I want to show in the Product page footer a list of the related Products/Industries/News with their thumbnail.
What would be the best route to get the related Products/Industries/News thumbnail for display? ..Is there a clean/official way?
The CCK content plugin _prepare and _render functions seem to have the functionality by dispatching the appropriate field plugin events... however I wouldn't like to copy the function contents. Maybe there's another way?
