Hi Everyone,

I've posted a quick Youtube tutorial on how to create a multi-page front end form in Seblod. You can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFf4jsvf8B4

If you haven't seen my channel before, check it out; it has lots of video tutorials to help you get started with Seblod.

Hi James!

Thank you so much for your tutotials.

It's been a few days I've been learning seblod and I am very excited. It looks like it's the best cck in the joomla platform.
Although the interface is very intuitive, it has been really hard to understand some issues, since there are very few tutorials. I understand the site is been completely recontructed, but I can find no info on many subjects. For example in the templates provided in the store, I see references to the "templating documentation" but I've found nothing. If you had not made these tutorials, it would have been much - much harder for me.

Concerning your tutorial on multi-stage forms, could you please confirm the problem I mention here:

thank you very much

Hi James!
Thanks for your tutorials, I have found them very helpful!
I have followed your multy stage tutorial and discovered the email sending feature you have also demonstrated.
I have set up a multi-stage form exaclty like you did, but I realized that I if I put the email send field in the final stage, I could get the valued of the fields only from the final stage.
I had the username and useremal in the firts stage, and I could not get the values of these with #username# #user_email# in the emal message in the third stage only if I placed the email send button in the first stage.
How can get all the field (from stage 1-3) to be included in my email in the final stage?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for the tutorial.

I have the same problem as mill05 with emails.

Also I can´t use computation rules for a field refering another field in a previous stage... it simply does not work.

By the way, is there any chance to have more than 6 stages in a form?

Thanks a lot

Hi All,

This isn't really an 'issue' that needs to be fixed, but rather just the way it works, and there is a way to work with it.

When you set a field to a stage in the form sequence, it is only rendered and available in that stage.

But you can 'duplicate' the field to make the values available in another stage. The process to duplicate the field is easy.

  • Go in to your Content Type where you created the field initially (this is important, so both fields are locked to the same content type)
  • Create a new field
  • Give the field a new name, but set it up exactly the same as the first field you made
  • BEFORE you click save on the field, set the storage to exactly the same as the initial field you made. (if you forget to do this, you can't go back and change the storage after. You must delete the field and try again).
  • Now you will have 2 fields that do the same thing. You can put one in the first stage of your form, and one in the final stage which will show the value you store in the first stage. Then you can do what you want with it.

I hope this helps!

James

Hi James, and thank a lot for your answer.

But I think i will go with the Tab one as if i use Multipage its because my form has more than 70 fields already, and that's why i wanted a multi-pages form. Your solution will drive me to manage more than 140 fields for one Form, it become a little tricky here :-)

But anyway it was good to know that it is possible ...
