Hello to all,
First of all, I would want to congratulate you on the magnificent provided us with tool.
We have just installed(settled) Joomla 3.3.0 and Seblod 3.3. And I have create several forms and lists of searches(researches) in relation. Everything worked marvelously.
Since a few days, I cannot bind(connect) absolutely any more a single article create with one of the forms with a category.
All the articles create put themselves automatically in the category "non-categorized".
PS. Fields categories are very visible in the admin. and the category asked in the form is registered well on it.!!!!
You have a solution to be proposed to me and you can explain to me what to do.
Beforehand one quite thank you.

In the content type >> Site Form (and/or Admin Form):

  1. add the field Article Category ID (see "1" in the screenshot); set it as "Hidden" (you do this by clicking the box #1 and in the "Variation" column you select "Hidden"
  2. click on the #2 box - see "2" in the screenshot
  3. click on the double-chevron icon next to the input window (see "3" in the screenshot); in the popup window select the category you want this content type to be tied to and save

Helps?

Hello MtnPavlas,

One thank you for your answer.

As written in my 1st post, I made exactly as you me specified him(her,it) and the whole worked very well.

I tried everything the strangest, it is that the defined category is registered(recorded) in the form whether it is of the side admin that of the side site, but the article is CATEGORIZED. (Even screenshot)

If you have another idea, it is very gladly.

Very friendly

Not sure what could be causing it but please repost your screen shot and I'll take a look. Also, in other posts I've seen the Seblod team suggesting to place the Article Category ID into the "Hidden" position with variation listed as "Default" so you may want to try that.

BTW, I've made sure the screenshot in my post above displayed in full view but somehow it reverted to the tiny thumbnail view. So I'll try to post via URL here again:

Hello MtnPavlas,

I had posted a message this morning but I do not see him(it) given that I do not know if he(it) was seen, I put back(hand) him(it).

I also tried to put him(it) fields category id in the hidden, but nothing has to change.

I insert again the screenshot of yesterday.

I still look and informs you.

Still thank you - Friendly

Hello MtnPavlas,

For more information, I have to create a new virgin form with only one fields title, one alias, an access, a state and a category.
And that does not work either.

Only goods(articles) create with " a standard contents Joomla " accept the category.

It is hopeless but I continue to look

Very friendly, Aude

Hello MtnPavlas,

Sorry to have answered faster, I was absent 2 days outside.
Yes I finally found my problem it is the recording of fields " category article ID " that made impossible the link between forms and categories.
It is necessary to create one fields " category ID " and to store him(it) in catid and not in art_catid. It and it fields which makes the link between forms and deliberate category.
It is a big error from me; - ((

Here we are, thank you infinitely for the time dedicated and wishes you an excellent weekend.

Very cordially,
Aude

Aude,

You should not need to create a new field as you should be able to use the art_catid field (which stores in the #__content table in the catid column). Perhaps the field name and the column where it stores are the source of confusion.

Anyway, I'm glad you found your work-around - many times Seblod doesn't work the way I expect it to, and I need to come up with my own work-arounds as well (e.g. a link to a parent article will generate just fine in the Intro view but not at all in the Content view even though the settings are the same ... have an old post about it somewhere on this forum).

It happened to me once when I rearranged the categories, I think I put seblod categories in joomla categories, subcategorized them.
