Hello,

What is the best way to put some text in a form.  Let's say that I want to make a form and put a brief description of what I want my user to enter in the fields below it.

"The following form fields are required to verify eligibility"
Then my form fields continue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi dniezby,

you could use the field type "Free Text" and give it a default value. The good thing about is that you can use your WYSIWYG Editor for the default value, so you can easily create a formatted text.

But i guess you solved your problem already, since it is marked as solved. Maybe it could still help you or another one :)

Yes, I did solve it. Thanks though.
And it was with the same solution you provided.

The ONLY thing that sucks about using this method though is that you HAVE TO use a Label.  BUT, I've also found a way to have it "blend in" to the free text I put in a form.

For example, "License Agreement" then my free text here...

Another example:  "NOTE! or IMPORTANT! " then my free text..

Thanks for chiming in anyway.

You can always hide labels by typing "clear" (without quotes) into the label field. When you type it directly in the field type settings, the label will be hidden in every view (admin form, site form, intro, content) Or you can type "clear" into the label field in the construction view (1 -> label + variation). This way you could show the label in the admin view but hide it for example in the content view :)

You are welcome :)

And my i inspire you to create your own Seblod Templates? Because things get "awesomer" then :) You get so much control over the output. Maybe you will spent a lot of time for your first seblod template, but once you got it, things will get easier. With your own template you can decide how the output will look like. Label, Value, Typo, HTML.... No more need for changing any settings or markups because you can call any output you want wherever you will :)
