I set my authors to "Edit"=no and "Edit own"=yes but they can edit content of other authors too. Is there a setting that can override the content type setting? All users have no permission on the seblod component though.

None that we know of. How did you create edit button - is this joomla button next to article or seblod editd button e.g. on list?
