Hi

I am using Joomla 5.2.5 with Seblod 4.5.2 any experience following issues:

1. WYSIWYG Editor is not working in backend

I can not edit any content in the backend if the field is defined as a WYSIWG Editor field. The editor loads as and the buttons of the editor are accessible. But I can not alter the text in the content section of the editor. I can click in it, but there is no curser in the content section. This issue is independendt on the selected editor type (JCE, TinyMCE, CodeMirror, None). It only works if I change the field type to TextArea. For non-Seblod content the WYSIWG editors are working fine.

2. Submit Button is not working in frontend

I have frontent forms to create / edit articles. The creation of new content does till work, which means "Submit" creates the new article. But when I change the article in the frontend, the chanages are not stored after clicking "Submit". There are no error messages or anything which indicates that someting went wrong.

I have already tried different things. I tested different PHP Versions (from 8.1.3 to 8.4) with no success. I downgraded Seblod versions on a test system. With version 4.5.0 I was able to get rid of the WYSIWYG error in the backend, the submit button issue was not resolved. Neiher the developer Tools of the Webbrowser nor the debug log of Joomla shows anything suspicious.

I changed the template to the "Standard" Casiopeia to Prevent any interference between the template and the SEBLOD, but this did not help at all.

In January I had to switch from Joomla 4.x to 5.x due to compatibility issues with SEBLOD according to the community here. I can't say if the issues are related to the Joomla 5.x migration or SEBLOD updates. Since only SEBLOD is affected, it seems like an issue with SEBLOD.

I appreciate any help in resolving the issues.

Thanks!

I have exactly the same issue. I had to go back to Seblod 4.4.1 to resolve all issues.

Hi,

Have you tried to change the following option from "Auto / Newest" to "Legacy (Joomla! 3)" ?

SEBLOD Options > General > SQL Mode > Legacy (Joomla! 3)

Please let us know.

Hi everyone

Thank you for your replies.

@Liggie: The downgrade to the version you mentioned did only resolve the issue with the backend editor, but the save button in the frontend does still not work.

@Saba: The setting was already set to Legacy Mode. I changed it to Auto/Newest but it did not influence the behavior. I already tested various settings of Core Legacy and Legacy Routing Mode without success. Currently following settings are active:

I still don't understand why I am able to create a new article via frontend, but am not able to edit (and store) the changes.

Dear all (incl @Liggie)

I resolved my issue in the backend by reorganizing the form elements. The issue only occured if other elements are below the WYSIWYG form field (e.g. Text). This way I am able to use the newest version of Seblod (4.5.2) with the most recent verions of Joomla (5.3.1) and can edit the content in the backend.

The frontend issue still persist, but I am still investigating on that.
