Hi joomleb,

Yes you can do what you want!  In the Email field have a look at the attachment section in how to set up this field.

Basically you set up an upload file field and then reference that field for the attachment field.  If you want a file to be sent to the user, then just make sure that file is set up as the default in the file upload field.

The trick is to make sure that the email field is at the bottom of the Content Type.

Hope that helps.

Hi Randy,

thanks for suggestions.

Please, What I don't understand is: Do you mean I can simple add a field to attach a file in the standard joomla contact form or Do I have to build a new entire contact form using Seblod ?

Hi Joomleb,

I am not aware of a standard Joomla contact us form unless you are referring to a contact form using the Contact manager.  If that's the case, then yes, you would need to create your own SEBLOD contact form.  Im not sure why you wouldn't want to do it any other way :)  This way you can create an app and reuse it - instead of having to recreate it again and again.  A SEBLOD form will give you the most flexibility and its super easy with less than 10 fields...

regards,

Randy

Hi Randy,

thanks for reply.

Yes, I'm speaking about to add a field to attach a file in the contact form (Joomla Contact manager).

...because I work  with a standard (for me) clone site that I install as start point install, and I don't need nothing special, just one field more than the joomla contact form. This is why I asked.

if you don't want to build your own form you can use http://www.seblod.com/products/vip/feedback-app-for-seblod
