Sorry if this seems like a simple question, but i can't test to see if sebold does what I need as i would need to purchase the map extensions to do so.
Currently I have been using 'Geocode Factory v5'.
What i am doing is setting up a business directory, and below is what we need from the map/geo map:
1a) Client (user) adds a listing on front end and adds there business address.
1b) This business address is then viewable when a visitor to the site clicks to view that individual business's listing (pretty standard stuff here)
1c) On the home page of the business directory, we need to show ALL business's who have listing in the business directory in a google map...( we also need people to be able to search and filter via the map and have the results shown in the map change based on the search/filter)
1d) THIS IS IMPORTANT. On Desktop and more importantly on MOBILE, we need the visitor to be able to SHARE THEIR LOCATION and only show business's (for example) within 100km from the visitors location (100km would be a global setting we can set/change). EG: If this is a Australian Accommodation business directory, we need visitors to be able to share their location wihtout having to type in their location, and be shown Accommodation near them...then be able to click on a business listing in the google map and be taken to the individual business's listing page.
1d continued) Once a visitor has shared their location, i need to be able to set some search and filter options so that the visitor can filter the results by: distance from their location, hotels, motels, 5 star accommodation, etc.
The intention is for this to be easy to use on a mobile device and to use features like gps location settings that mobile phones have.
Can The map tools do all of this? If not, please let me know what it can't do?
2) I am also looking to use Sebold as a Members site. I have been looking at Community Builder. Is there anything in particular that Sebold doesn't do that would require me to use Community Builder instead of Sebold?

Really looking forward to using Sebold...been wanting to use it for many years, I just havent had the time to sit down and learn how it all works...I really want to start using Joomla Articles more (to many Joomla extensions completly ignore and dont use Joomla Articles...EG: K2..I love K2, but Joomla articles are much better than they were in J1.5...sorry...rant over!

Welcome to the forums and to SEBLOD.
To answer your first question, most is possible with Core SEBLOD functionality, a plugin called the Address to Coordinates field, and the new Search by Radius feature introduced in SEBLOD 3.4, and the seb_map Map template. All of these features are also packaged up in the Places App. What isn't possible as a pre-made solution is the ability to automatically get the user's location from their mobile device and use that as a search filter. For this you need some custom javascript that determined the user's location (this might be helpful as a start?) and then loaded that information in to your longitude and latitude fields (set up as part of the Address to Coordinates field setup). If your latitude and longitude fields are filled by that custom javascript (loaded in your template somewhere) then you can just have a standard search button which will execute the query.
Regarding community builder - that's a bit of a hard question to answer comprehensively here - but as a starting point take a look around seblod.com. Everything here, including the forums, is built with SEBLOD. So that gives you some idea of what's possible. I'd say most of Community Builder's functionality is build-able with SEBLOD.
