Hello there,
I'm a "newbie" and discover seblod step for step.
And now I've a problem, which I did not find a solution for.
In the "List & Form" screen the left register "item" is disabled.
I could not select it anymore. I've tried several things - but nothing worked.
Any idea? I'v updated to 3.3
Thanks in advance,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

This has to do with the type of template that you have selected - List vs Blog.  List allows you to create a table style layout  - similar to a spreadsheet.  Blog layout allows you create a layout similar to a group of fields presented in a list form.

The confusing part, is there are 2 different types of templates, one for the form view, and one for the rendering. To change the template type for the Rendering, select the List tab, then Template options.  You can then select the Blog template.   Below the Template selection, are other important fields relating to how you want your list to be presented - like how many columns.

Hope that helps.

Hi Randy,
thanks for your quick reply. Under template options I can only select the seb_table template. Then I try to create a new template, but then I get the error message: ave failed with the following error: CCK_TableTemplate: :store failed
Duplicate entry 'seb_blog' for key 'name' SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_cck_core_templates` (`id`,`title`,`name`,`folder`,`mode`,`description`,`published`) VALUES ('','Tx','seb_blog','1','0','','1')

???
Thanks and regards Wolfgang

Hi Wofgang,

The error that you recieved is because the template already exists.

Have you tried to create a new search using the Blog template?

thanks,

Randy
