Hello,

How can I create a search form like "search by keyword"? I created a Project content type and I want to search only for this content (can be title, description, whatever related to Project content).

Thanks

Hi Soft M,

In the Search Form section, you can add the fields that you want and search for that particular word within that field.  Another way is to use the Search Generic Field to allow searching on any field.

Hope that helps.

Randy, can you specify a little better how the searching in this case should be taken? I don't want search specific fields, I want search all contento in site, related to Projects.

Thanks

Hi Soft M,

The Search Generic field is what you want then.  In the settings of Generic Search you need to define which fields you want searched.  To the end user all they see is a single search field.

You can see an actual working example on the products page with the Keywords..
In this example, when you enter a key word, it will search through all of the fields such as: title, category, description, etc.

hope that helps,

Thanks for your quickly reply Randy!

It seems that the "Search Generi Field" is paid, what is a problem for me, since I'm working for another people and they don't intend to spend money. But thanks for your help anyway. Otherwise it is not then possible to perform search vy keyword?
