Good evening,
I am in a moment of difficulty because I cannot create a category list menu where only the introduction image, title and a seblod field can be shown, as well as displaying the articles in mansory mode.
I have created a variation of the seb_one template for the article but when I go to see the category list I cannot make the fields that interest me appear.

How can I do?

Thanks
Matteo

What menu item type have you used ?

If joomla category menu item then intro view (afaik)

If seblod list then select the list you created for this view

Have you never used a category view with seblod? You mean this?

What can be an alternative way? Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks so much

Hi,

I changed the type of menu and followed the instructions in this guide: https://www.seblod.com/resources/manuals/getting-started/displaying-a-list-of-joomla-articles-blog and this https: //www.seblod.com/resources/manuals/going-further/assigning-fields-to-the-list-of-joomla-articles-item-view.

The problems I encounter are:
- I don't see the items in the menu
- I don't understand how I can assign a category to a menu item
- do I have to create theme variables also for the list? how can I do?

Thanks for your patience

Matteo

The problems I encounter are:

- I don't see the items in the menu

Not sure what you mean

- I don't understand how I can assign a category to a menu item

For my searches, I apply live/2 value to these fields:

cck: my content type(s) ie invoice or receipt, or invoice, receipt if searching multiple

category id: the catid that I want to search.

I could override these live values via the menu

- do I have to create theme variables also for the list? how can I do?

Okay, I try to explain myself better.

I created a variation of the seb_one template where I customized the display of the single article. The articles are divided into multiple categories and I have to display each category in a menu item, so I created a menu item Seblod> List & search and configured it like this link https://www.seblod.com/resources/manuals/ getting-started / displaying-a-list-of-joomla-articles-blog only that I don't see the articles in the menu.

I tried to create a view like this https://www.seblod.com/resources/manuals/going-further/assigning-fields-to-the-list-of-joomla-articles-item-view but I still don't see the articles.

What I wonder is:
- how do I assign a single category to the menu item?
- does having created a variation for the visualization of the article influence the list of items in the menu and therefore do I have to create a variation for "List & Search Type"? If so, how do you do it?

I hope I have been clear now.

Thanks

What do you know about live values?

Do you know much mysql, either way, enable debug in template config

This gives you clues.

Have you applied the appropriate live values either in search form or as an override in menu item?

This vid demonstrates adding live values...
