The Map template is totally awesome with the later enhancements that render the various fields in the info balloon.
However, when using the search form on the Map page and the user uses it to either search for text or one of the drop-downs/filters or whatever other search option... and the map refreshes based on the search criteria, the images in the info balloons get broken and the links do too (no longer lead the user to the content item page - resulting in 404 errors).

Hi,
this looks like a Joomla routing issue, after search is clicked you get redirected to url that contains option=com_cck&view=list etc, this should not be visible, and base url (before parameters) is index.php/component/cck/ and all this breaks links to the images and other assets.
What type is your home menu? Is search on home shown in module or is home menu linked to search type? My guess is that you need to add menu pointing to your search type, it does not need to be visible on a page, but it needs to exist as joomal gets its its url path from the menus.

Search form display: part of the Search & List type, NOT in module
Menu item for the Search & List type that's used on home page: created it but same results
